A commission is work a brand asked Lioncolony for specifically, usually because it had already seen the register it wanted. The brief tends to arrive looser than a campaign brief and the studio is trusted further with the answer.
That is a different relationship from a competitive pitch, and it is the one most of the luxury work on this site came through.
