Three products, and each film gives its product one trick.

SPF. The loop is eight seconds and closes exactly.

No people, no hands, no set dressing: the product is the only thing in the frame.

Each of the three is the bottle alone, and the one idea in each film comes from what the product does rather than from a style laid over it. The SPF stands in cloud and the cloud writes its name. The toner meets a pad. The serum lights up from the inside.

Two of the three are built as true loops rather than films with an ending: the SPF repeats every eight seconds and the serum every four, both closing on the frame they opened with, so neither one ever shows a cut.

A single drop, a pad, and the bottle that pours it.

The film opens on a drop falling, holds on a round cotton pad carrying the “O.” mark, then brings the frosted bottle in to pour. Six seconds, and the only cut is the one between those three ideas.

It went out on The Ordinary’s own feed, where it has done 9.9 million views.

Saccharomyces Ferment 30% Milky Toner. Sound on, if you like.

The serum is lit from inside the bottle, not from the set.

An amber dropper bottle sits on white tiles under a thin wire armature. The light builds inside the glass until the label is washed out, then falls away and leaves the bottle as it started. Four seconds, closing on its first frame.
