Lunar New Year in metallic 3D.
Faceted rather than smooth, so the light has somewhere to land.
The ox is built in flat planes. A smooth animal of this colour would go dead under even light; cut into facets, every face catches a different value and the form reads from across the set.
It is staged as a built installation rather than a floating object (a drum base, lanterns on poles, a fortune wheel, planting, signage), with the towers held soft behind so the figure stays the subject. The same animal appears in red, pink and white across the set.
The shots
Three frames: the pink ox among hearts, the whole set with the towers behind, and the white herd under lanterns.
