Scales first, the watch last.
The piece withholds the product: the snake and the stones arrive long before the watch does.
Scales, then the body moving through green water, then cut stones, and only at the end the Silhouette CX Snake itself. By the time the watch arrives the vocabulary is set, so the green of the strap reads as the same green everything else has been made of.
Almost none of the running time is the product. That is the risk and the point: the subject is the material, and the watch is what the material resolves into.
The shots
Six frames in the order they appear, which is also the order the piece builds its subject: surface, creature, material, product.
