Carolina Herrera: Back to School

That is the whole idea and the piece commits to it: the bottles stand on the squares at the scale of pieces, the board is laid in Carolina Herrera red and gold rather than wood, and the pawns and queens around them are cast in the same lacquer.

The set is built deep (a tiled floor, a patterned wall, stacked boxes and toy soldiers at the edges), so the board reads as a room rather than a tabletop.
